How CoffeeDasher makes money — and how we keep it separate from the grades and rankings you see.
Effective: July 7, 2026
CoffeeDasher is built on independent grading. This page explains, plainly, how we fund the platform and how we keep that separate from the grades and rankings you see on the Site. We believe you should know exactly how the platform works before you rely on it.
Contents
1. Our Commitment to Independence
Our grades and rankings reflect our own research — not who pays us. No provider can buy a better grade, move up the rankings, or have a poor review removed. The assessment you see is the one our methodology produced.
2. How We Make Money
CoffeeDasher is free to use for businesses. We fund the platform in two ways:
- Quote requests. When you request quotes through the Site, we may earn a referral fee from our quote-matching partner when your request is matched with participating providers. This fee does not increase your cost — using the Site and requesting quotes is always free.
- Directory listings. Providers can purchase a listing (such as our Starter or Premium packages) to appear in our directory. Paid listings are a form of advertising and are graded on the same criteria as any other provider.
3. How Grading Stays Independent
Grades are determined by our methodology alone: roughly 70% on business quality and industry presence, and 30% on verified customer ratings and reviews. Whether a provider pays for a listing has no effect on this calculation. A paying provider and a non-paying provider are graded on exactly the same criteria.
4. Paid Listings vs. Editorial Content
There is a clear line between advertising and editorial content on CoffeeDasher:
- Advertising is a paid listing. It can affect whether a provider appears in our directory. It cannot affect the provider’s grade or ranking.
- Editorial is our grading, rankings, and written assessments. These are never for sale.
Where a listing is paid or sponsored, we identify it as such.
5. Affiliate & Advertising Relationships
Our relationship with our quote-matching partner (360Connect) is a referral arrangement: we may be compensated when we refer a quote request. Some outbound links on the Site may be affiliate or sponsored links. This is standard for platforms like ours, and it never changes our editorial assessments.
6. Our Promise
If a change in how we earn revenue ever affects how we grade or rank providers, we will say so on this page. Until then, you can trust that what you see reflects our research — nothing more.
