How We Grade Suppliers

How we evaluate and rank office coffee service providers across every state and cities in our directory.

Overview

Every provider featured in our directory goes through a structured, multi-step evaluation. We assess each company using the same set of criteria, drawn entirely from publicly available information, to produce a fair and transparent grade. Some providers on our state pages may be featured through paid placement, but this does not influence their grade or ranking position — all companies are evaluated using the same criteria regardless of any advertising relationship.

Grading Scale

Each provider receives an overall grade of A, B, or C based on their combined performance across all evaluation criteria. These grades give readers a quick snapshot of how a provider compares to others in the same state.

A

Top Pick

Strong reputation, deep B2B services, significant market presence, and verified credentials. These providers lead their market in most or all evaluation areas.

B

Solid Choice

Good reputation and reliable B2B services, but may lack the depth or market reach of an A-tier provider. A dependable option for most workplaces.

C

Listed Provider

Meets basic standards but shows limited B2B information, fewer reviews, or a narrower service footprint. Still a verified and active provider.

Evaluation Criteria

We evaluate each provider across seven key areas. No single factor determines a grade on its own — the final tier reflects the overall strength of a company across all criteria combined.

1

Online Reputation

Google, BirdEye, and Yelp star ratings combined with total review volume. Higher ratings and more reviews indicate stronger, more consistent customer satisfaction.

2

Years in Business

Founding year or documented years of operation. Longer track records suggest stability, reliability, and deep industry experience.

3

B2B Program Depth

Clarity and detail of the company’s business-to-business coffee and beverage program, including dedicated service pages, outlined offerings, and workplace-focused solutions.

4

Market Footprint

Geographic reach of the provider’s service area — whether local, regional, or multi-state — as a measure of operational scale and logistics capability.

5

Brand Partnerships

Authorized distributor status or named partnerships with recognized coffee and equipment brands, indicating product quality and supplier trust.

6

Equipment & Service

Availability of equipment leasing programs, in-house service and maintenance departments, and named business clients that demonstrate active B2B relationships.

7

Industry Recognition

Any documented awards, certifications, or industry accolades that distinguish the provider within the office coffee and refreshment space.

How Grades Are Assigned

Our grading process follows a consistent workflow for every state we cover.

Identify Providers

We locate all office coffee and beverage service providers operating in a given state.

Verify Legitimacy

We confirm each company is an active, legitimate business with a real web presence and verifiable contact information.

Gather Data

We collect information for each evaluation criteria from public sources, including review platforms, company websites, and industry directories.

Assign Grades

Each verified provider is assigned a grade of A, B, or C based on their combined performance across all seven criteria.

Publish Top Providers

Only the top-rated providers in each state are selected for inclusion in our published directory. Companies that do not meet our minimum quality threshold are excluded.

Important Notes

Paid placement does not affect grades. Some providers may appear as featured listings through paid placement, but this has no influence on their grade, ranking position, or evaluation. All companies are scored using the same criteria.

Regular updates. We revisit and update our evaluations periodically to reflect changes in reviews, services, and company status.

Public data only. All information used in our grading comes from publicly accessible sources. We do not use private, proprietary, or insider data.

Feedback welcome. If you are a provider and believe your listing contains an error, please contact us so we can review and correct the information.
