VendiBean is a San Diego-based beverage tech company that designs and operates its own smart office coffee machine. Founded in 2017 by siblings Teal and Tristan Cooper, the company grew out of a college campus coffee vending concept and shifted to a B2B office model. Their proprietary freestanding machine grinds beans fresh per cup and brews espresso-based drinks using high-pressure frothing technology. Each unit holds enough product for roughly 300 drinks and sends automated notifications on inventory levels and maintenance needs. Offices manage everything through a centralized backend dashboard. The company currently has around 20 employees and serves clients including HP, Puma, BuzzFeed, and Anheuser-Busch. VendiBean offers coconut milk and oat milk as non-dairy alternatives and includes a monthly deep clean at no extra cost.
