World Cup Coffee

World Cup Coffee roasts 15 varieties of coffee by hand in small batches at their NE Portland facility. The company started in 1985 when Don Welch bought a small refreshment business, and his son Dan joined in 1987. They began roasting under the World Cup brand in 1993. Coffee is roasted the day before delivery using beans purchased directly from farmers around the world. The office service operates without contracts, and a route representative visits every four weeks to clean and restock the coffee station. Service technicians respond to calls around the clock, typically within two to four hours. Beyond coffee, they carry teas, cocoa, cider, kombucha, cold brew, soft drinks, and pantry items. They also operate micro-markets and offer bottled and filtered water through several types of dispensers, including Borg & Overstrom units with sparkling water.
